Hello Laura, 

Are you looking to close your account? If yes, than, you will have to go to Settings, then, go to contact info tab, there you will find "Close my account"..

If you change your privacy setting to "Private", then you will be able to retain control over your profile and Upwork account, while effectively removing your profile from letting anyone see it.

That is probably your best option.

Alternatively, you can close your Upwork account, but then you lose control over it.

Remember, you can not create a new Upwork account. So for long term flexibility, it is best to set your account to private and stop using it. You can even remove all information from your account, such as all of your profile overview text and education history. But you can only remove and edit information if you still have control over the account.
