Upwork unable to recognize existing email id

Hi,

A friend of mine created an upwork account a few days back, and his account was approved. Now when he is trying to log in, upwork is prompting "Google account is not recognized on Upwork." He has several offers from clients on that account which means that account was active. He asked me to send message to support.

Can you please guide what to do in this issue?
