Can't create an Agency account

Good day!

I don't have ablility to create "New Freelancer Agency Account", only client account. 

Also,I tried to clean cache and cookies, and log in with another browser. Problem is not solved.

At the moment, a user may open and own one agency which is why you can't open another. If you wish to reopen your old agency, let us know.

I need your help to get a solution regarding creating a New Agency Account. I followed the steps that required to open Agency Account from my Setting menu But I can not show to choose any Agency Account while creating.

Do you mean you're not able to create an Agency profile? I checked and it looks like you already have one that's currently closed, would you like to reopen it? Also, regarding the client account you've created, I have closed it as per your request.

I am unable to create agency, when i went in to the setting to create a Agency account , but It is only showing client account which is used for job posting. I can't create Agency account which is vital and massive to run the business by providing IT servivces being Agency.

Hello! I have the same problem. I have accidentally closed my agency account. My first goal was changing agency name, but I didn't find the way to do it, so I decided to close my current agency account and then create a new one. Now I do not have access to my previous as well as I do not have a possibility to create a new one. What should I do in this situation?

Hi Serge,

You need to update your address before you can create a new Freelancer account. You can do this in Settings > My Info > Company contacts. Once you have a freelancer account to function as the Agency Owner, you should be able to create the Agency account.

Thank you for reaching out to us. If you don’t have the option to create an Agency, it’s generally because you already have an Agency that is now closed. Please know that you can only “own” one agency on Upwork. You won’t be able to make another one.

However, if you want, we can restore your agency account. How do I reach a human in customer support?

1. Please visit Contact Support and click the ‘Chat with Upwork' button.
2. Type a question or topic and select ‘Send’. The bot will find relevant Help articles for you.
3. The chatbot will ask you to confirm if you need additional help. If you confirm that you need additional help, you will be asked to confirm the account type you need help with.
4. From there, the support options available to you will be listed. Select either of the options to be able to contact the Upwork Support Team.
