Hourly rate change contract impacts service fee

If a contract has crossed $500 so I assume Upwork charges 10 percent service fee. Now if we reduce hourly rate in this will it impact the service fee or it will remain 10 percent?

Hi Adeel,

As a freelancer, you’re charged a sliding fee based on your lifetime billings with each non-Enterprise client. This includes all contracts you’ve ever had with that client. Service fees are the same whether the contracts are hourly, fixed-price, or projects on Project Catalog

• $0-$500: 20%
• $500.01-$10,000: 10%
• $10,000.01 or more: 5%

Changes in your hourly rate should not have any effect on your current fees. Here's the help article for more information.
