Upwork Agency Requirements

Hello, 

I've recently been invited to work for an Upwork Agency. They are asking me to submit my scanned CNIC (identity verification document) along with a written request to join the agency. According to them, this is mandatory before being allowed to work on any projects. I want to make sure if it's safe to share my personal documents this way? Are personal documents including identity vertification required to work for an Upwork Agency?

We highly suggest that you communicate any hesitation you may have with the agency owner or business manager as they are the best people to answer any questions you may have. Should you encounter any suspicious user activity though, you may send us a flag so we can review it.
