Thank you for reaching out to us. You have to keep your conversations with Upwork prior to a contract starting as not doing so will violate Upwork's Terms of Service. If you encounter any client that is asking you to move your conversation outside Upwork during an interview, you can respectfully decline and have them talk to you on the message center. If they decline, you can report this to us so we can investigate and take appropriate actions based on our internal processes.
