Discontinuing Team Builder Beta Program

We will soon begin efforts to remove the Team Builder Talent Clouds as we discontinue this program. Please be aware that you will no longer see the link to your Team Builder Talent Cloud on your Find Work page or your profile page, nor will you have access to it.

Hi Everyone,

 

We want to share an update on the Team Builder Beta program. When we launched this program, our goal was to understand if we could help connect clients and freelancers looking for longer-term projects more efficiently. After months of testing, we’ve learned that for many the program didn’t offer the number of options they’ve come to appreciate about using Upwork. We believe that we can better serve our community by using these learnings to improve other features on Upwork. Therefore, we will be discontinuing our Team Builder Beta program over the next several months.

 

For clients and freelancers who currently have active contracts - nothing will change! You can complete all billing on those active contracts, and close the contracts once they are complete. Thank you to those of you who participated in this Beta program.

 

For clients: As of this month, you are no longer able to create new Team Builder job posts. However, any active or paused contracts will not be affected, and you will continue to be able to access contract details from past closed contracts.

 

If you have a contract for which billing is paused, and don’t have additional work for that contract, we suggest that you close the contract as soon as it is complete and provide feedback to your freelancer.

 

For freelancers: You will no longer see any new job posts in your Team Builder Talent Cloud. Please feel free to continue to bill through Upwork for all active contracts. In the next 3 months, we will be removing the Team Builder Talent Cloud as the program shuts down.

Please note that the Team Builder program is entirely different from Upwork Pro, so your Upwork Pro status will not be affected by this change at all.
