We just tested this and the option to take notes hasn't been removed and is still available. You should be able to use it during the call by minimizing the call window, and selecting the "..." icon on the top right near the call button and clicking on the "personal notepad."
As for the screenshots, Upwork App allows you to take screenshots using keyboard shortcuts anytime, regardless of a call being in progress or not. You can go to your App's Settings> Keyboard Shortcuts to view and enable the Screenshot Shortcuts.

I didn't get error messages. But I initiated video calls with the client without any response. He also initiated many video calls with me. I tried to respond without success.
Does the upwork video system, for when speaking with clients, have the ability to set up a virtual background without requiring a green screen, for example by being able to upload a photo that will become the background (like zoom permits)?
