New Client Feature Help Me Hire

We have found that many clients are interested in working collaboratively with other colleagues but are unfamiliar with Upwork’s company account feature. As a result, we’re launching a test that will bring more visibility to company accounts and encourage clients to invite their colleagues to help them hire collaboratively through Upwork. Clients will see a prompt that says: “Invite a coworker to help you hire. It’s easy for them to help you find, interview and evaluate freelancers.” The client will then be able to add their colleague’s email address, and send them an invite to join a company account.

 

Clients will be able to click on the prompt to  invite a colleague from several areas in their hiring process.

  1. When a client posts a job.
  2. When reviewing applicants
  3. When reviewing proposals
  4. In Messages

Could this feature mean that the end of the Talent Specialist program is upon us?

This feature is separate from Talent Specialists program Upwork offers. Talent Specialists are Upwork agents and this feature allows clients to add their colleagues to their account.

Thanks for the clarification. However, not being a client, it sounded like clients can now call on other clients to help them make hiring easier, since the Talent Specialists hardly ever get it right.

Not other clients, but colleagues within their own company.

 

I think this will be great - I have a couple of clients where the person I'm working with directly doesn't have access to their company's Upwork account because the person down the hall opened it, so it takes extra time to get stuff approved, increase the weekly limit, close contracts, etc. I hope this will improve that workflow.

I also noticed this show up yesterday just on profiles when I don't have a job open. If I view a random profile I have this show up in the side bar:

I think this is a good idea and I can see potential use for it in future for me.

This seems to be a nice feature for those interested in working with their work colleagues. However, is there a way to permanently get rid of the notifications for those not interested in the feature?

Are you referring to the notification you see when you view proposals for a job posting?
