What about those that don't include all the job requirements? Then you
interview only to find out they have requirements you can't provide. Upwork
needs to fix this. They are losing their credibility.

Sharon's idea is sound. Anyone who did not get the project should begin searching again and have those Connects refunded.  You have me submitting proposals and paying Upwork.  Sounds like the old staffing agencies.  You pay (100 pay) for the 1 job to be given to 1 person-if that.

That is simply not true. I have received 4 or 5 emails from Upwork telling me that the job I applied for has either expired or has been closed.

Will we be notified when connects are re-instated? Approximately how long does it take for a job to sit and sit before a decision is made?

Hi Scott,


There is no option to send an email notification when connects are returned because of a canceled job post. A job will expire after 30 days of inactivity. You can view your Connects History in the Settings> Membership & Connects and find more information here.

Second Time I am writing

There is a posting on Upwork for 24 days. I have flagged twice as
inappropriate. It has the Interesting ribbon. People continue to submit
proposals, I see the number rising. The client has not viewed in 2 weeks.
They have had other posts since 2014 and never hired. There should be a
limit on how many job postings without hirings are allowed. Or after a
certain number poster pays and not connects.

I have been on the site quite some time I know how to spot these people.
Others new do not.

There needs to be a review of people posting, using others money (connects)
to fish. It is highly inappropriate.

But have not recieved my connec refunded back since 6 jobs gone closed and one dormant. Still expecting my connects back. Please help me with this.

I agree. We waste the connects on job postings that don't list all
the requirements. I spent a lot of time preparing for the interview and
learning about the client before the interview. Only to find out a few
minutes into the "30 minute" interview that travel to Los Angeles
California was a requirement. That cost me 6 connects. I wrote upwork with
all the details about it but never heard back at all from them. Guess they
are in business for big profit even in these hard times when people are
desperate for work. I am very disappointed in Upwork.
