Rene, an exception to the rule (with you anyway), right?

Or perhaps a case of the exception proving the rule?

I totally agree with Rene on this.

So, please Upwork don't even think to get rid of TS, I simply love them and I have usually found a lot of very interesting jobs thanks to them.

Maybe you guys should give to freelancers the option to be or not to be visible to Talent Specialists, in this way who doesn't like them is not bothered anymore and who really appreciate their effort and work can be more visible to them and therefore get more invitations. A win-win conclusion.

Thank you, Nicola.

The option to opt out from receiving the invites is available and you can find more information about it in this help article.

"many of the TS invites I'm seeing are to opportunities way below my rate, so I would decline them"

Is it possible that the clients using the TS program are doing so because they are having a problem finding freelancers on their own, because of badly written job descriptions and/or low rates?

Stephanie, yes that is def. possible ... but the fact buyers do not put enough info in their RFPs to allow professional FLers to even place a bid is an even a bigger problem.

I don't know if TS manages to add info and details to what they pass on to FLers; I turned off TS invites eons ago.

phyllis, that thread paints a pretty grim picture. It seems my limited experience might get worse.

It's a pretty annoying situation. We keep pleading with them to fix it or dispense with it. But UW insists on framing the problem as occasional, anomalous errors instead of a programmatic malfunction that merits programmatic solution.

Jason and Phyllis,

I'm going to go ahead and merge this thread now with the master thread about this issue to keep all of your related feedback about this issue in one place.

And do you think that merging the threads will have the desired effect?
