The preponderance of evidence in this and the many preceding discussions of the Talent Specialist program is that hardly any of the commenters regard it as a service.

We're also still waiting for the actual "Update" promised on March 1st by the headline of this thread. Nothing has changed about this program.

If you do click on the link, know that it will be worth your while to read all 22 pages. In the end, you'll see that they do not strive to do better. Instead, our questions and concerns have been summarily ignored.

Talent agents as a group are very bad at actually matching freelancers with appropriate jobs. But, if they actually do make a decent match it doesn't cost you any connects to respond. So, that's a plus. I think most experienced freelancers reject requests from Talent Agents knowing they will be a bad fit.

I actually withdrew from TS invitations.  Never got one that was useful.

I do appreciate Upwork continuing to try to improve, however, of my 4000 hours so far on the platform, like others have said, the Talent Specialist invites are all time wasters. Either completely not good fit, or the "client" is not well vetted to begin with - lots of "clients" send out 20 invites and just want free advice and have no intention of ever hiring on the platform.
