We have recently made updates to the freelancer All Contracts page that will make finding, sorting and communicating about contracts easier. This being slowly rolled over the next week. See list of updates and screenshots below.

  1. The “Contracts” page will now include improved sorting capabilities that allow you to sort by start date, end date, team and contract name.

  2. You’ll now have the ability to send messages to clients from individual contracts.

  1. Rate changes will no longer be displayed as two separate contracts. Instead, they are now rolled into the original contract and you will no longer see multiple contracts for the same project.

  1. Pending offers will be included on the “Contracts” page.

Just to be sure.  If I want to raise my rate on an old on-going contract, the client can now raise the rate without having to close the original contract and open a new one??  How does the client do that??

Hi Mary,

As before, the freelancer can decrease the contract's rate anytime and the client can increase the contract's rate anytime (see this help article). No change here. However, changing a rate used to automatically create a separate contract on the Contracts Page. Now there will only be one contract.
