Zoom is coming to the Upwork Marketplace!

Dear Upwork Community,

Zoom is coming to Upwork! We know many of you have requested updates to Upwork’s video/call feature. Given that our Terms of Service require all pre-contract conversations to take place via Upwork, a lot of customers have requested access to an improved resource for making calls on our platform. We heard your concerns and feedback, and we’re responding.

We are excited to announce that Upwork is rolling out an integration with Zoom that will allow users to quickly initiate Zoom calls right from the Upwork platform.

To help make sure this integration is seamless, we’re making the new feature available to a small subset of randomly selected Upwork users to start. Once we’re comfortable with how everything is working for those initial users, all Upwork users will have access to the new Zoom integration. Be on the lookout for the rollout of this feature in Upwork Messages!

Thanks for sharing your feedback! There is a five-hour limit for Zoom calls with two or more participants.

A great feature here thanks a lot, next up is scheduling inside of UpWork (that syncs with calendars like Google).

Very happy to see this moving in the right direction.

Is it unlimited or for just 40 minutes?

I cannot express how much the zoom calls on Upwork have been helping me so far! 

Most of my clients and possible prospects love to go on a zoom call quickly to discuss the project, we share screens, ideas laughs! This is becoming such a PLEASANT experience for me each day and I can't thank Upwork X Zoom enough for this. It has helped me with the conversion as well, since talking in person with a prospect instills much more confidence in them for us and a good call is everything we needed.

If the next Upwork can introduce a better project management system integrated into the contract milestones, I will be HAPPY!

For upwork desktop to use zoom you  just need a Safari not the zoom app?

Hi Craig,

You don't need to have the Zoom app installed to access this feature. I'll also merge your post to the announcement thread where you can find more information about this.
