Hi there,
I have a freelancer that I think could be waisting time whilst they are being paid.
On review of the screenshots, there seems to be periods where no work is being done.
The Keyboard and mouse are showing zero activity but the activity level is showing 10 (see the screenshot for clarification) how can this be?
Thanks in advance.

There probably was activity going on at the brain and gut levels. In the future, there might be a device which can capture those kinds of activities and get those strokes reflected via the TeamApp. What do you think, Evan?

Evan, don't worry about Juvy....
Avery, I'd like to know how both the keyboard and mouse show zero activity for that time block but the activity level is 10 out of 10? I've never seen that before (not that I look at work diaries much). I went and looked at a few to see if I could see a similar thing and for every screenshot there was both keyboard and mouse activity.

Hi Jennifer,
I'm also not too sure how that would happen, but I think it could be either of the two scenarios -
Hopefully, Evan shared more information to Vladimir via a private message so that the team can investigate on it further.

@Evan
While this may not apply to all jobs, in many situations there may be scenarios where the freelancer needs to think/plan for solutions (either all in the head, or writing thoughts on paper).
The activity level is not always a good metric to determine if a freelancer is actually active and working on your project.

Alexandru, I think the OP's problem is more that the work diary shows that there was activity for 10 out of the 10 minutes, but that the mouse and keyboard clicks did not reflect this.

Hi Evan,
I've tried but can't identify the contract in question. Could you please pm me the contract title and specify the period in which the segments are showing the keyboard and mouse activity you shared?

@Evan: This looks like an Upwork bug to me. Has the freelancer submitted any work to you / have you seen progress on whatever they're working on? If so, it could just be a misunderstanding.
