As a client, do I have the rights to publish a voice-over under a Creative Commons license?

I want to buy several voice-overs from upwork-voice artists and would like to publish the files under a Creative Commons license (like CC BY), so everyone can use them in their own projects. Do I own all rights to do this?

As a client, if you hire voice artists on Upwork, you own ALL RIGHTS to use the work that you commission.

So the answer to your question is: yes.

The only exception would be if you and the freelancer intentionally agree to an alternative written contract that limits your rights.

But the DEFAULT Upwork agreement gives all rights to the paying client.
