Belgian client with VAT

Hi,

I have about 30 invoices here on upwork. My vat number is not verified on Upwork because i am exempt for btw (belgian taxes). So i prefer to pay the whole amount here instead of struggling to fill in all the formulas to get it in order with the taxes in belgium. So now i was checking my invoices here and i see there is no vat on the invoice.

So how do i have to interpret this invoice? For example "Total amount = 5$"...is this with VAT or not?

Hi Kristof, 

If you have provided us with your VAT number, the VAT number will appear on your Upwork invoices. VAT is currently not collected from clients who use Upwork to find freelancers.
