Hello,
I accidentally submitted the wrong amount when sending a bonus. I have not been able to cancel it nor to rectify the amount. How do can I change that?

There is no client-side tool for cancelling a bonus payment.
All you need to do is contact the freelancer and explain the situation:
"Deborah: Thanks again for your excellent work on the project. As a reward, I use the Bonus tool to send you a bonus payment. Unfortunately, I accidentally paid $25, when I was actually trying to pay $20. Can you please use the Refund tool on your end to send me $5, so that the end result will be correct. Thank you."

And if they refuse to do so, I have no recourse? That seems unnecessarily risky and complicated.
