Bug Report: Hyperlinks with underscore are broken in Upwork Chat

I would like to report a bug. In the Upwork Chat tool used by clients and freelancers, hyperlinks are not working when they contain underscores. It seems the application is automatically adding a backslash \ character in front of the underscore, which breaks the link.

This other post is saying that Upwork is adding a forward slash character, but in my experience it is a back slash character that is being added before the underscore.
