I closed my old account and would like to use the old email but I can't.
Please release my old email address so I can change my current one.

You are only allowed one account on Upwork. So your "old" account should be the one you are using. You need to contact customer support to get this sorted before you get suspended.

Nichola is correct.
You can't do that.
There is no "old" account or "new" account because there is no "old" you or "new" you. There is only you. Your account represents you as a person.
You may continue to use Upwork using your orginal Upwork account. Or you may stop using Upwork. Those are your choices.

Hi Daniel,
It is important to remember users are only allowed to open one account on Upwork. This means you won't be able to re-use an email address that been used before.
However, what we could do is to re-open the original account and help you closing the new one.
