Cannot add mastercard payment method?

Hello, I am switching banks and when adding my new card Upwork displays this message

"We are unable to authorize your card as the billing details you entered does not match with your bank or credit card company. Please add another billing method or contact your issuing bank."

I have tried clearing my cookies and cache and also incognito mode. Please advise on what I to do?
