Companies Disguising as Individual Freelancers

I am running into companies disguising themselves as individual freelancers. So when I a search for individuals only, I get what I think are individuals that come up and I invite them to bid on a project, only to find out the truth later, when they contact me.

This is very deceptive, time-wasting and annoying. Is there a way to report this?

I think you could contact CS with a screen shot of the discussion.

In "description" give a brief overview of the issue, attach a screenshot of whatever proof you have.

Hi M J,

Please follow Tonya's and Petra's advice, and report these users to Customer Support.

Hi M J,

Please follow the community's advise regarding this client.

To add to what they have said - some freelancers on the platform are Business Managers in agencies, and they can send proposals to potential clients. When you go to their profile, you will see on the right side of their profile that they are "Associated with Agency Name."

In the future, if you come across any freelancer who is not an agency but is offering their services as a company, you may go to their profile and flag it as inapproriate.
