Copyright of material before hiring a professional

Hello everyone my name is lawrence
I am new to this service and just looking for advice and reassurance really about protecting my copyright the story and art work for my book before publishing on line could anyone help advise to a new comer to the publishing world

When you hire freelancers to work for you on Upwork, then there is default contract language in place that protects your intellectual property rights. Also, anything you hire freelancers to do belongs to you completely. If you hire a freelancer to create something, then you own all rights, including the copyright.
