Editing work not done. SCAM?

I have hired an editor who promised amazing things and asked for 10 days to edit. I could see see hadn't accessed the google doc until I actually asked about when it would be done. Once the 'finished' edit was submitted, couldn't see any difference and noticed the document is full of errors that were not caught. I asked for the editor to please properly edit, pointing out that things I asked for were not done, and asked her to show me where she has actually made changes, but no reply since then. 

I told her I would have to cancel the contract if no further word, then her profile disappeared (see screenshot)!

Was this a scam? It is frustrating to have wasted almost 3 weeks with nothing to show for it!

I am sorry to hear about your experience with the freelancer. I checked the job you mentioned, and it appears that you have already ended it and requested a refund of escrow funds. Your freelancer will have 7 days to respond to your request. If the freelancer continues to remain unresponsive to your request request, we will automatically process the refund after 7 days.
