Hi, I have deposited too much into my escrow account. How do i get it refunded? It has not been paid to the freelancer.

 When the milestone is finished simply release the agreed amount rather than the funded amount, then the remainder is either available for the next milestone, or goes back to you automatically when the contract is completed.

Yes, If you want to refund these escrow amount from upwork platform, you need to cancel the contract and change the payment agreement as cancel. And if you want to decrease the amount you would need to rehire the freelancer and fix the amount as agreement with. I hope it would help you. Thanks 🙂
