Freelancer Provide Me 100% Copy Paste Article

Im new to this platform but not new to this filed, I had to write many article but first i want to write an article by a freelancer so that i can judge her skill.

So i found a freelancer who agreed to write sample article for $10. After a contract she gave me a copy paste article and claim the payment release, i checked the article and tell her its copy paste article and also give her the link from where she copied, then she asking for one more chance to write on another topic, showing reason she had no idea about this topic that why she copied but i dont want her to write for me and asking her to cancel the contract.

Since then she has no reply and didnt cancel the contract and later on i cancel the contract and still waiting for her reply. now i want to hire another freelancer on the same sample article.

My questions is:

M i violating the rules?

m i going to recieve my refund?

what if she provided me another article sample without my permission?

Hi Ataur,

You can cancel the contract without waiting for her.
Did you approve the payment request? If no, then simply end the contract and ask for a refund. The freelancer has 7 days to approve it or dispute (It's not likely they would go for it) if no action is taken the funds will be released back to you.
If she provides you another sample without your permission, you don't have to pay.

Hope that helps!

Hi Ataur,

Sorry to hear about this issue. Ending the contract because you do not see the freelancer as a good match for the project is a not a violation. You and the freelance both have the option to end a contract. If ever she messaged you with another example of her writing, it is up to you to decide if you wanted to rehire her for your project since the contract has already ended.

I see that you already requested a refund from Escrow. The freelancer is given 7 days to respond to the request. If the freelancer will not respond, then the money will be returned back to your payment method automatically.

Two good responses from experts.

I engage writers in real-time chat to get examples of their writing, then followed by a paid test. That was how I uncovered a writer's plagiarism; the paid work didn't match her writing. I used the first sentence as a search term and found the website. I had paid her in advance for about thirty articles requiring legal research, $1500. I had been mentoring her as a freelance legal writer, and her husband was my whole remote IT department. He was great, and I knew they were struggling in Pakistan coming into holidays, when tradition demanded certain expenses. I fired them both, because I couldn't afford her convincing her husband to steal from me, or using her husband's access to my websites to steal more.

You got what you paid for.

If the article was low quality I would agree with you but I don't agree with you when it is plagiarized. Low pay doesn't justify theft. Please consider again.
