Freelancer Work History - Hourly Rate No Longer Displaying

Previously, oDesk would display the historical hourly rate of Freelancers in their work history (i.e. what a freelancer was paid on an hourly basis for previous jobs). This feature has recently been removed and replaced with "earned $__.__". If a freelancer has been charging $25 /hour with 1,500 oDesk hours under their belt and a 5-star rating, one can assume they are in good hands. If a freelancer has previously been charging $10 an hour, earning 5 stars, but then decides to increase their rate to $25 /hour now that they have 1,500 hours, a Client would assume a higher level of skill than what is likely actually available. Effectively, it is now very easy for a freelancer to dramatically inflate their prices once they have achieved X number of hours. Finding skilled and responsive freelancers is difficult enough; this only makes it more difficult and significantly more time consuming.

Thank you very much for sharing your opinion, Jonathan! The way you see freelancers' work histories is a part of the testing that our Team has been doing lately. We appreciate your feedback very much since by testing various ways of displaying the Work History we are trying to understand what information is the most important for clients while hiring.
