Freelancer disappeared

I had hired a freelancer, they didn't input any hours, claimed they did perform work, then disappeared.  Now their profile says "profile not found"

Yes. Freelancers disappear.

You have received all of the work from that freelancer that you paid for.

Close the contact and have the other freelancers on your team do the work. If you don't have other freelancers on your team, then go hire them.

Put yourself and your project first. Don't waste time thinking about that unreliable freelancer who disappeared. You don't owe him anything.

If his profile can no longer be found, then maybe it means he is a scoundrel and Upwork kicked him off of the platform.
