My client requested payment of a milestone. In my view the milestone was only partially complete but I wanted to pay for the portion that was complete, so I released the milestone but reduced the amount by $50. A few days later, now the freelancer has completed the milestone to my satisfaction and I want to pay the remainder. How do I do that? The Contract page says there is $50 sitting in escrow, but I don't see a button to release it to my freelancer. Any ideas?

Hi Zach,
I'm sorry for the confusion. As advised by Ivy, you will need to create a new milestone and fund it with the remaining escrow funds to pay the freelancer. As long as the amount you fund on the new milestone is equal to or less than the amount in escrow, it will pull the funds from escrow first.

Hello Zach,
Thank you for reaching out. To settle the balance or remaining payment for your freelancer, simply head over to your contract's page and click on the "Fund Milestone" button to activate your milestone. Once everything is set up, you'll also have the option to release the milestone to your freelancer.

the milestone was already created. I will explain again in different words.
milestone 3 was funded for $200. the freelancer did most of the work. He requested payment. ALthough he did the work, there was still an outstanding problem with the work. I decided to give him a partial payment. I approved the milestone, but I edited the amount to $150 instead of $200. Then I asked my freelancer to fix the outstanding problem with the work, and he did. Now I want to release the last $50. It's already there in escrow.
If I go to make a new milestone, the dialog tells me it's going to charge my credit card another $50. That doesn't seem right, I want to pay my freelancer from the $50 that is arleady sitting in escrow.

Thanks, I suspected it might pull from escrow first but wasn't sure.
