How to identify domain experts?

Hello,

I need to learn identifying a domain expert freelancer in the interview. How can I be sure they know my product niche/industry well?

Easy.

Specify in your job posting that yoy want someone who has expertise in the market that sells 'Bathing suites' on Mars.  Then look at their work history and interview them.  I am sure if you are looking for some specific expertise you are not clueless.  Figure out if you know more than the FL or he knows more than you.

If you know your own product really well - you'll know when the contractor is faking it.
