How to properly cancel a milestone and close the contact?

My cilent got a trouble with chinese supplier of her product due coronavirus outbreak.
So we agred to cancel prefunded milestone and close the project as we cannot continue without product now.
How to do it properly?
Can it affect my rating and "job susses"?

Ivan, ask your client to release a small amount ($1-$5), and then close,  not cancel, the contract. Contracts closed with no money earned does affect your JSS.
