Did you fully describe what needs to be done in your job post? Now that connects are no longer free, some freelancers hesitate to send proposals unless they have a good idea of the project requirements, because they don't want to find out after using connects that the job is not in their area of expertise.

Tell us more about your job, and more about the job posting.
We should be able to provide some advice.

Stork,
In the new reality, people won't apply to a job that doesn't have a clear description because freelancers need to pay in order to apply. The way around this is to match frequent contributors in the community with the job. Issue them invitations, which means they don't have to pay for applying.
The other way is to copy the job ad into a community post and ask for suggestions.
