Job success score factors

I have posted a small job on upwork and received a number of bids.  I have selected a developer to do the work and declined the others.  One of the declined developers has asked me to remove the decline as it affects his job success score.  Is that true?

I don’t think you can remove a decline anyway but regardless, declined proposals have no effect on Job Success Score so the freelancer is mistaken. The only thing that’s affected is the Marketing Effectiveness section of the freelancer’s My Stats page, which is only provided for informational purposes.

No.

The Job Success Score can only be affected by contracts.

Your decline doesn't affect anything.
