Manual Hours Added When Business is Closed

We have hourly hires who add their hours manually however when our business was closed the hours were added just the same. When asked why are you added hours when not working, they said that it was done automatically. What can be done and what can be done to prevent this from happening again?

Start dispute for time already paid.

For future: use pause option in contract: have works to do - unpause, job done - pause again. FL unable to add time for paused contract.

FL lies that was done automatically. FL know what he(she) did when added fake time.

Respectfully, this client seems a bit curious to me. How was he able to offer, interview, hire, and have this sort of dispute after hours of work when his account was created today? Very intriguing....

It is simple: your main account may be old, but with first forum message you have fresh registration here. Live support fired so we will see many "fresh" users here because chatbot forwarding anyone to forum.

Of course anyone able to create bot to hide own name or other reasons.

Very well then. I stand corrected.

Scammer will promise this for sure. $100, $500... dont matter. Just pay "linking fee". ๐Ÿ˜

Manual hours can not be automatically added.

Isn't it very obvious the solution to your problem.

If business is closed END THE CONTRACT!!!! why keeping it open for no reason. Something's are tiring

The client is talking about full-time freelancers who work during scheduled business hours .

The freelancer in this case is using manual time as an excuse to bill hours outside that.

You may be right.

I have lots of clients whose contracts with me just lie there even over a year, even tho they know they have no work to offer, and they still won't accept your request for them to close the contract.

I can close all myself, but then no reviews and stuff.. this is something frustrating that clients have no idea they do. If a freelancer requests you close a contract, by all means do. It just keeps piling up as though you are busy but you are not at all!

That's a problem as old as the site.

The only thing you can do is politely ask them to close the contract if they don't need any changes or have additional work for you.

From what I heard from new clients, the site is difficult to navigate.

Besides, many are here for one-time jobs and treat us the way they treat other service providers. Buy and forget, unless they want to post a negative feedback.

You can close the "no feedback likely" job after every two jobs with feedback.

I don't bother about reviews anymore.

The only thing I continue to track is JSS as that is linked to my top rated badge, which in turn, allows me a "30%" chance at winning one of those worldwide jobs.

I am the one applying to the few jobs left in my niche and the clients who do choose to work with me usually mention my work samples and niche expertise in the interviews. I doubt if they even look at my profile.

I'll be probably closing one old job after every job with reviews on the Sunday the JSS is calculated, as Will suggested.
