Milestone activation failed. Please contact customer support

Hi!

All my available payment methods are failing with: Milestone activation failed. Please contact customer support.

 

Can you please create a ticket and review my issue or let me know where do I have to create it?

Your client can create a new milestone from their account. You can share this help article with them for more information. Also, you should be able to propose a new milestone for your contract. Please check this help article for more information on how to do that.

Hello,

I can't active the next milestone, and yes the first milestone was successfully paid, we cleaned the caches and changed browser as well, but keeps giving me the same error.

We would like to pay our freelancer with the total amount of budget left, so i created a milestone with the leftover, but it gives me this error (screenshot attached).

Could you please tell me if it's because there's not enough balance or it's for another reason. Balance should be enough unless the fee will be charged outside the budget of the project. Help us please. We are desperate!

I got no issues in paying for my first milestone, this is specifically coming for my 2nd milestone. Upwork had contacted me and suggested to check with my bank and I did, everything is fine, I had given my bank a visit checked for everything including e-mandate etc. I even did some other international transactions which worked fine.

 

I mean each and every payment method of mine gives this freaking error, I am really dissatisfied with this.

The evergreen problem of Milestone activation failing that Upwork just cant fix! I removed and re-added my card and paid $2 in total just to fail the milestone activation again! Please fix this, it's getting on my nerves now. The card works fine for a few days and the error comes back!

Thank you for your message. I am sorry to hear about the issue with your payment method. I checked and I see that the transaction could not be completed due to an issue with the payment method. If you are using a Paypal to complete the transaction, could you please try with an alternate payment method saved on your Paypal wallet? Feel free to message us if you need further assistance.
