My account was deleted, WHY?

Im lost. I havent used upwork for a couple of months. I go to login today as I need some work done on one of my websites and it says username incorrect. Im unable to pass reset or anything. So I decide to make this NEW account using the same email address, just see see if it would go through. Meaning if I can make a new account with the same email address then my old account was probably deleted.

And here we are. I need my old account back as I have freelancers on there i work with. Ive done nothing wrong. Anyone understand why this happens?
