Need assistance on job I posted

Hi,

I have posted a job for electonics engineers and I have had no bids. I gave a detailed description and I thought it would bring in the right people but I have had no bids. The job is not complex so it should not put many people off. Do the 'talent specialists' help check the job postings for possible problems?

Or is it that there is too much explanation and the freelancers do not read it and move on to the next one?

Thanks

Hi Fred,

I cannot see your job post so I cannot comment on it directly.  Consider conducting a search for freelancers you think would do a good job on your project and invite them.  Customize your invite message (I receive so many templated emails) with their first name, perhaps something from their profile that motivated you to invite them, etc.

If you posted recently, within the last hour or so, give it some time.  Your post should be up for at least 24 hours.  And if you're still not getting any submissions, re-write your job, perhaps with fewer words that describe the project (you alluded to a lot of copy in the post), and invite matching freelancers.

Good luck!

A detailed job description is better than a vague one.

A short job description is better than a long one.

Sometimes the most effective path for accomplishing your goal is made up of many steps.

Maybe my project can be divided into multiple sub-steps, and I can hire freelancers to complete individual steps which can be combined to complete a greater whole.

Hi,
Yes, I divided it in steps

re: "Yes, I divided it in steps"

Did you post all of those steps within a single job post?

You may have presented a project which was bigger than freelancers wanted to jump into. Especially if you posted it as a fixed-price contract, instead of an hourly contract.

A BIG fixed-price contract with with an unknown client can seem rather unappealing to a sensible freelancer.

Hi Fred,

I`m sorry to hear about the bad experience you had. Our team will reach out to you directly and assist you further with your job posting and screening freelancers.
In the meantime, you can review the freelancer who has applied on your job post. Thank you.
