New to Upwork* Proposal Withdraw Question related to billing

Good Mornig, First off i am new to upwork and still trying to get the hang of it.

Question, i submitted a proposal to a freelancer and they did not accept it and even stopped responding. Upwork charged me 200 to put into escrow for the first milestone. Now that the proposal is withdrawn what happens to that amount? it does not seem that i have upwork "credits" nor has it been credited back to my account. I would like to continue finding another freelancer but im hestiatnt to send a proposal to someone else until i understand where my orginal money has gone.

Thanks

You are simply going to get the money back.

Not as a "credit" within Upwork.

The $200 will be put back onto your payment method (credit card).

This happens automatically within five business days.

Hi Garrett,

Preston is correct, it can take up to five business days for the refunds to reflect on your account. Let us know if you need further help.

Thank you.
