Not authorized to download freelancer's file

Hi there,

I have problems downloading files from freelancers as I receive the error "You are not authorized to access this page." when I try it.

This error occurs in several chats with different freelancers. However, there are freelancers whose files I am able to receive.

How can I solve this problem?

Upwork is not a file transfer tool.

Upwork intentionally places many restrictions on file transfers, including those related to file format, size, and content. Upwork intentionally alters some files as part of its security protocols.

You could waste a lot of time trying to use Upwork for your file transfer needs. So don't.

Instead, use any tools of our choice, including: FTP, email, Dropbox, USB flash drive, Google Drive, Microsoft One Drive, WeTransfer, Box, ownCloud, etc.
