Organizing messages by functions or topics

Hi- 

As we continue to use Upwork, the number of freelancers and messages are getting really long.  Is there any way at all to group them by purposes?  That way at least I can filter to only the freelancers for a specific function at any one point.  Any tips to better organize communication threads?
