Other way to get contact to the developer

Hi,

I might be posting on the wrong forum, but I was not sure where and how.

Right now, I hired a developer to do some work and I am waiting for his answer. Of course, I have sent messages to him for replying.

But I cannot get contact to him over 12 days. We are stopping work for his reply.

What I would like to ask you or this forum, is there any way to solve this?

Like Ask Upwork to get contact him? ( I could not find any "contact us"...)

If you have any idea to solve this issue, please let me know.

Your problem is that you do not have enough ways to contact this freelancer.

You really only need one way to contact a freelancer.

If you have one reliable way to contact a freelancer, then when you send a message to that freelancer, the freelancer receives your message.

But:

The freelancer might not reply.

Maybe the freelancer is busy.

Or disinterested.

Or dead.

Or maybe that freelancer adopted puppies.

Ultimately: What does it matter?

The important thing is YOU.

And YOUR PROJECT.

Don't place this freelancer - or any freelancer - in such a lofty position that if the freelancer becomes uninterested in your project, it hampers your ability to move forward.

Maybe this freelancer's name is "John."

He's not responding now.

So assign the tasks you need done next to OTHER freelancers on your team.

You also hired Nancy, Diego and Halle.

The can do this work.

Assign tasks to them, and see who does the best work. Who is highly responsive. Who will get work done in an hour. Who will get work done in a week.
