The Philippines is officially acknowledged as being included within Sout East Asia
The United Nations geoscheme is a scheme devised by the United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD) based on the M49 coding classification, which divides the world into macro-geographical regions and subregions.
What area do I select in order to attract freelancers from the Philippines. For logistical reasons this is important to me and I am constantly flooded by applications from regions other than the one I want.
Can someone assist please.
Just add it to the skills search: (data AND entry AND philippines)
Then invite those people.
Also on the filter on the left side, you can filter Philippines. Again invite those people.
In the job post say we prefer applicants from the Philipiines.
When you type in your selected keyword in the search bar, you will be redirected to this page. Click on "More options" and a drop down will appear. In the "Location" bar, type-in the region or country you prefer for your search filter to apply.
I've also included a screen grab below for your reference. Hope this helps.
This is for when posting a job, not searching for freelancers. The regional options presented are East Asia, and South Asia.
The Philippines is considered South-East Asia so therefore fits into neither.
Thanks in advance
Thanks for clarifying! Currently, we do not have an update from the team when South East Asia will be included in the regions. I can wait for a confirmation from the team and update you when the South East Asia region has been implemented. I suggest to also include the location preference in the job post.
Hope this helps.
Re, "I suggest to also include the location preference in the job post."
Can you please suggest how I can write this without getting in to trouble again?
Thanks in advance
Vladimir, I've since been told this is against the rules... and I had to remove the note again from my job post.
Can you guys please talk to each other and get some concensus??
