That's a red flag right away and you'd be risking your Upwork account as communication must stay on Upwork (only) at least until an official contract is in place.
In general, chances are that anything that sounds too good to be true, or doesn't really make sense (using your own accounts to advertise someone's property for example) is a scam. You might be advertising a place for rent that doesn't exist or exists but doesn't belong to the "client".
By the time the new tenants find out they paid a deposit for some property that they won't ever be able to move into, you're the only party they can identify...
