Reactivate closed account

While trying to close only the freelance account, I have apparently closed the whole account and can't login again with it. This is kind of a problem as I had messages I wanted to get back to. Is there a way to get into contact with Upwork support to reactivate my real account and close this one? Upwork Help Center does hide all options to contact a real agent. By clicking "Contact a Support Agent" I just get redirect to "help center" site.

Due to our Community settings, new users need to wait up to 2 hours for their rank to update from 'New Forum Member' to 'Active Member' after which, they can use the private message option. Once that happens to you, feel free to send me a private message with the Upwork username or registered email address of the account in question so that I can check and assist you further.

Hi i created an account on upworks but selected for a project instead of free lancer. I closed the account. in order to resignup as a free lancer but have not been able to login with the account again. i created a new profile with this new account, but the email i used for my old account is my active email which i would like to maintain on upworks. can i please get some assistance with this

Having a duplicate account is a violation of Upwork TOS. Once you are able to access your account, please close this one that you're using to post in the community.

I had a freelance account earlier this year and was approved, but I had to close my account.

 

I was wondering am i able to have it reactivated?

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated. i am still using the same e-mail that i signed up with  when my application was approved.

Hello I closed my account few months ago now I want recover it back. When I try to login it says invalid username. If I try to sign up it says email already exist.
Please help to solve my issue

You can't reopen the account that doesn't belong to you, only the account owner can which is your friend. You can let them know to reach out to us on any official Upwork social media pages so we can help. You can find the direct links in the footer section of the Community as shown here.
