Refund of Escrow

Hi Upwork Support,

I have an upcoming project wtih a freelancer and activated the fund. She then suddenly notice us that her account has been permenantly suspended by Upwork. I subsequently ended the contract and request for a refund for the escrow.


Unfortunately, she has not been online or responding. What should I do next to retreieve back the funds?

Hi Alex, 

It looks like you requested a refund last 22-January. Please allow 7-days for the freelancer to respond. If they don't respond to the request, it will be automatically refunded back to your account. Refund credits can take up to five business days to appear. You may read more about it here.
