Seeking Support as a New Freelancer on Upwork

Hello Upwork Community,

I am excited to join this platform as a newcomer and am eager to start contributing my expertise. With over seven years of experience as an accountant and bookkeeper, I bring a wealth of knowledge in QuickBooks, advanced Excel, and financial management. My skills include:

Bank Reconciliation

Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Preparation

Cash Flow Management and Budgeting

Payroll Processing, Invoicing, and Ledger Reconciliation

Custom Financial Reporting

Although I’m new to Upwork, I am deeply committed to delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality work for my clients. I kindly request your support and guidance in helping me secure my first project here.

Any tips, recommendations, or opportunities you can share would mean the world to me. I’m excited to grow and contribute to this amazing community!

Thank you in advance for your support and encouragement.

Best regards,
Muhammad Farooq

Sharing the little of what I know while hoping to learn more.

1. Don't over price yourself

2. Apply for more entry/intermediate roles than expert roles as this will help at least get your first job and get you verified.

3. Don't waste connects applying for jobs you stand little/no chance to get for instance jobs with more proposals submitted or with specific locations, or jobs not aligned to your profile

please share what you know as well 👇
