Signing up a developer

I have discussed the requirement with a develoiper and we have agreed a fixed cost for the work. How do I start the contract on upwork as it has no option for a fixed price work.

Jiwan, if you posted a job for an hourly contract, but the freelancer has agreed to a fixed-price contract, that is fine. Just create a new fixed-price job posting and hire the freelancer using the new job post. You can create the job as a private invite-only job and send the freelancer a private invite or direct hire offer.

There is no need for another job post. The offer can be switched from hourly to fixed rate before sending it. Why bother with a brand new job post?
