It would be very helpful to show the Upwork fee added to the invoice rather then see the fee at the time you take the payment.

 ------------------------------------------------------------

Timesheet 07:00 hrs (00:00 hrs Manual Time)

 $0.00Fixed-Price and Other Payments

 $77.77Your charges last week:

 -----------------------------------------------------------

Not seeing this Upwork fee on invoice makes it dificault for records  being invoice and pament are not the same.

Note: This is the email invoice sent out from Upwork to Client..

I do not understand this problem. The client pays the whole amount and receives an invoice that covers the whole amount (for example 100 USD). The service fee (for example 20 % = 20 USD) is charged to the freelancer, paid by the and he receives an invoice from Upwork for this service fee. The 20 USD are the freelancers expenses. Or do you want to tell us that your invoice from Upwork does only cover the fees without the service fee? That would not be correct.

Margarete, I expect he means the client payment processing fee, not the service fee

Example

Invoice

Timesheet 07:00 hrs (00:00 hrs Manual Time)
$0.00 Fixed-Price and Other Payments
$77.77Your charges last week

Example

Payment Received

Date: 31-Oct-2016 UTC
Previous balance due: $77.77
Fee: $2.14
Amount charged: $79.91
New balance: $0.00
Payment method: credit card
Reference ID

notice the Fee $2.14

This dose not show on invoice to bring total to the $79.91

OK, I understand. I confused freelancer and client service fee.

James, I don't get an email invoice I only get the "payment received" email. But in my transaction reports I can see all the invoices in there. The payment processing fee has its own separate invoice. I don't have a single invoice for all my transactions for a week.

I guess if you only have one freelancer, it might make sense to you for the payment processing fee to be added to that freelancer's invoice? But for me with multiple freelancers it doesn't really make sense to break down the payment processing fee by freelancer. It's an Upwork cost, not a freelancer cost.

(Sorry if this is irrelevant info, but I couldn't quite figure out what you meant by the emailed invoice as I don't get one.)
