Upwork advised me to close a project I had paid for "Featured" status to fix issue. Now no refund?

I had a project posted for about an hour and realized that wanted to change the project type from fixed to hourly since I was getting 5 AI-generated proposals for the max amount.  After trying to modify the project, a popup from Upwork suggested that I could not change the live project and said I needed to close it and repost.  I did that and now I have learned there is no way for the “Featured” payment to carry over.   I feel ripped off.  The AI based chat system just says it is nonrefundable and won’t allow me to talk to a human.  I’ve spent over $80,000 USD on this website.  What horrible service and ethics.  The CEO Hayden Brown should be ashamed.  The only thing I can do is contact Visa and contest the charges.  I shouldn’t have to do that.

you're right we shouldn't have to do that and I hope you do get a hold of it.

Also I know this is redundant - but did you log a ticket?

I sort of thought that this community was monitored and they would eventually see this.  The automated system has NO way to get to a human.  That upsets me far more than the $20.  I'll waste an hour of time getting this $20 back from them.

Hi, Steve! You know, you have some chances to get noticed. I mean, Upwork moderators should see value in working with you. Also, the more attention, the better. I hope that every comment helps. Let’s make a clear feature request for editing the projects.

Personally, I’m looking for alternatives right now. I can’t wait till anyone from their team bothers checking the payment issues. And since my contribution to Upwork is much, much less than yours (80K—wow!), it won’t happen soon.
