Upwork is so slow

Can never reliably access a freelancer's diary. Chatbot says will connect you to support. Refresh page if you don't see your options in a few seconds. It's been a few minutes and a few page refreshes and still nothing.

where do you see a diary?  And is this only when you actually hire them?

I ask because this is my first job and i wonder how long i should wait when told i will be contacted within a day.  Also is it ok if during this time I then invite another freelancer.

Hi Jo,

If you have an hourly contract with a freelancer, you will have access to view work-in-progress snapshots in hourly rows, each representing a 10-minute billing segment. Every hourly contract has its own Work Diary. You might want to read this help article.
